Privacy

This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers. Here is everything it does collect, and everyone else who sees it.

What this site stores on your device

One thing: an entry called paper-theme in your browser's local storage, remembering whether you chose the light or dark version of the page. It never leaves your browser, it is not sent to me, and clearing your site data removes it. There are no cookies of any kind.

Visiting the site

The site is served by Cloudflare, which handles the connection and logs it — including your IP address — in order to deliver the pages and keep the site from being abused.

Page views are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and no fingerprinting, and it cannot follow you to any other site. It records the page you looked at, where you arrived from, and broad details like country, browser and device type.

Booking a call

The booking panel reads my availability from Cal.com, and your browser makes that request directly. That means Cal.com sees your IP address and time zone as soon as the panel loads, whether or not you go on to book anything.

If you do book, your name, email address, and anything you write in their form go to Cal.com and then into my calendar. What Cal.com does with it is covered by their own privacy policy.

Email

hello@dejansobota.com is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing into a Gmail account, so anything you send passes through both. I keep correspondence for as long as it is useful, which in practice means until a project is long finished.

What doesn't happen

No advertising, no cross-site tracking, no profiling, and nothing is sold or shared. There is no newsletter list and no contact form quietly keeping what you typed. The site does not use Google Analytics. Even the fonts are served from this domain rather than fetched from Google, so loading a page tells them nothing.

Where it goes

Cloudflare and Google both operate internationally, so the little that is collected may be handled outside the country you are reading from. Each publishes its own terms for that.

Your data, and reaching me

If you are in the EU or the UK, you can ask for a copy of anything I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to it being processed at all. Realistically there is very little beyond email correspondence and a calendar entry.

Write to hello@dejansobota.com and I will sort it out.
